Eresoinka 1937 - 1939

The Eresoinka exhibition was part of the “Lighthouse of Voices” within the European Capital of Culture Donostia 2016. For this project, we had to design and conceptualize the research work carried out by Philip Regnier.

To do this, we divided the content into 3 parts: giving visibility to all the people involved in this adventure; showing and publicizing the work made by different artists for the sets and dresses of the interpreters; and finally, showing photographs taken by Jesus Elosegi who was also a member of Eresoinka during the 2 years of touring across Europe just before the start of the World War II. All the photographs were restored because all the marks and scratches they had when they were being digitalized.

For the mapping, we built a map of Europe where we projected a video summary to explain what Eresoinka was in a simple way.

Different elements of that time such as hand books of the show, documents and one of the original txistus (basque flute) and drums were also used as part of the the exhibition.
